Da im Moment kein privates Rettungsboot im zentralen Mittelmeer aktiv ist, schießt sich Italiens Innenminister Salvini schon mal auf die bevorstehende Ankunft der Ocean Viking ein.
Abschiebungen aus Istanbul
Allein in den letzten zwei Wochen sind rund 6.000 Menschen ohne gültige Papiere in Istanbul festgenommen und abgeschoben oder in Lager in andere Provinzen gebracht worden, darunter knapp 3.000 Afghanen, die über die Grenze in den Iran abgeschoben wurden. Syrer ohne gültige Papiere sollen in ein Lager in der Provinz Hatay gebracht worden sein.

NGO coalition requests African Commission on Human Rights to probe atrocities against migrants in Libya
Today, the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies, ASGI and ARCI submitted a joint request to the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, demanding an investigation into the gross human rights violations against refugees and migrants in Libyan detention centers. The three NGOs also requested the Commission, pending a detailed probe, to provisionally order the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) to stop immediately abuses against refugees and migrants detained in centers throughout Libya, including in Tajoura, Zawiya and Zintan.
Abschiebungen Türkei – Idlib
Since around ten days, Turkish authorities have increased stop-and-search checks around Istanbul, targeting Syrians without registration papers (including those who are registered in other cities) or for working informally. Apparently, already 400 people have been deported to Idlib in the last few days. It is alleged that many have been detained and eventually deported to Syria, some after having been forced to sign “voluntary repatriation” forms.
