Bericht von zwei Aktivisten aus Dresden:
Wir, zwei Aktivisten aus Dresden, sind seit gestern auf Lesbos. Die Lage hat sich etwas beruhigt. Geflüchtete oder Mitarbeier*innen von NGO
wurden in den letzten Tagen wohl nicht mehr angsgriffen. Dafür hat es
gestern erneut einen Faschisten, nämlich Rowan Croft erwischt. [1] Die
Lage bleibt trotz allem sehr diffus und angespannt.
Auch die Ausbreitung des Corona Virus wird mit Sorge betrachtet. Das es
zu einem Ausbruch im Camp Muria kommt, ist nur eine Frage der Zeit. Die
ohnehin schon katastrophale medizinische Versorgung könnte dann gänzlich
zusammenbrechen. Ärzte ohne Grenzen befürworten eine sofortige
Evakuierung des gesamten Lagers. [2] Die griechische Migrationsbehörde
hat NGO wie Ärzte ohne Grenzen angewiesen ihre Arbeit in Muria bis zum
26.03. einzustellen. [3] Das macht uns gerade fassungslos. Welche
Auswirkungen dies auf die Pläne für die Evakuierung von 1600 Kindern
durch die sog. Koalition der Willigen, bestehend aus 6 EU-Staaten, [4]
haben wird, ist auch unklar. Für uns ist diese Zahl ohnehin zu gering
und bisher nur heiße Luft. Ganz zu schweigen von dem generelle Fakt,
dass die Situation menschverachtend ist! Wir hoffen das die gerade
anlaufende Mission von „Mission Lifeline“ Fahrt in die Sache bringt und
genügend politischer Druck erzeugt wird, um zumindest für die rund 8000
Kinder in Muria etwas zu ändern. [5]Am Samstag wird es in Mytilini zwei Demos geben. Beide sind Reaktionen
auf die Ereignisse der letzten Tage und Wochen. Die zweite Demo am Abend
wurde durch lokale antifaschistische Strukturen organisiert, während die
erste ein breiteres Spektrum an Menschen ansprechen soll. Wir halten
euch so gut es auf dem Laufenden, können aber keinen ständigen
Informationsflow gewährleisten. Aber wir geben unser bestes!Bitte verbreitet diese Nachricht und ladet Leute in den Kanal ein!

Bericht einer Aktivistin über ein Papier, mit dem offenbar die Abschiebung der Refugees aus Afghanistan von den griechischen Behörden vorbereitet wird:
Below you can see the picture of the document that the Greek authorities are
giving to the Afghans (and maybe others also) who are kept in the navy boat
in the port of Lesvos. They are asked to sign this, despite the fact that
they do not understand it, and it’s the document by which they will be
expelled from Greece and returned back to Turkey.The document just makes reference to several provisions of Greek and EU law,
as well as the EU-TK Statement, but makes no reference to the Presidential
Decree by which for one month the access to asylum procedures is suspended
in combination with the automatic decision of return without registering the
claim.Under point 6 it mentions that the person has been informed, in a language
s/he understands, of their rights and the reasons of their detention us a
person under return procedure. Point 8 states that the person has not
appealed the decision of return within the 48 hours of the foreseen
deadline.However, we have serious doubts that the persons were informed of anything
(as they are not informed of what this specific document states) and we are
sure that they have not had actual means to appeal the decision of their
return.There is no need to repeat that suspending access to asylum and directly
returning massively people back to Turkey is a flagrant violation of several
EU laws, the Geneva Convention and of the fundamental rights all EU Member
States must ensure to respect.
Commissioner Johansson said several times, during the debate in plenary and
yesterday while being in Greece, that the right to asylum shall be respected
at all times and for all cases. However, this is clearly not what is
happening in Greece now.For that reason, we would like to ask you to protest against this practice
in any way you can and to request that the Commission takes action about it.
Just talking about respect of our values is not enough, we need to enforce
them also!You can spread the information to your groups and to your contacts and you
